The workshop on holistic empowerment of religious life

As per the plan of the Provincial Chapter-2024, newly initiated and a few young leaders of the province were given opportunity to participate in five days’ workshop on “holistic empowerment of women religious”, organized by CRWI [Conference of Religious Women India] from 17th to 21st June at Chai center, Secunderabad. Srs. Niresha, Jyothi Gade, Jenifer, Sofia Mary, Chinna and Gnana Sundari were part of the workshop. 45 sisters from different congregations participated in the workshop. The resource persons are Fr. Kiran Kumar from the diocese of Kamman and Sr. Gladys, JMJ made an impact on us to understand the role of a leader in our own communities and mission. The purpose of this workshop aims to provide transformative experience, focusing on holistic Empowerment for religious sisters. Through interactive sessions, discussions and practical exercises, participants were able to gain valuable insights into personal and societal transformation.

This workshop challenged us to bring a difference in our own communities by accepting the vulnerability in us and in others. A true leader makes others as leaderswas an eye-opener to make ourselves as effective leaders. Pope Francis says a church walking together is a Synodal church which means it involves listening, dialogue, openness, respect, freedom and discernment in making decision for the church. We had interaction with one another that enriched our bond. The five days became a heaven of joy where smiles are abundant and stress is minimized and we felt that we are uplifted.
