During the Dasara holidays, the Sisters actively engaged in Pastoral and Vocation Ministry in six dioceses covering various parishes, substations and mission areas with great zeal and commitment. Around 12 sisters from various communities actively involved in this significant ministry. Kudos to the sisters who bore witness to the Charism by their selfless service, availability and sacrifices. The holidays became a meaningful time of spiritual outreach, faith formation, and vocation promotion among children, youth, families, and parish communities.
The ministry focused on strengthening the faith life of the people through prayer gatherings, catechism classes, family visits, youth animation, and participation in parish activities. Special attention was given to children and youth by organizing value education sessions, Bible sharing, faith formation programs, and interactive activities that helped them deepen their relationship with God and grow in Christian values.
The Sisters visited families in villages and parish communities, listening to their concerns, praying with them, and encouraging them in their spiritual and family life. These visits created a spirit of closeness, compassion, and accompaniment, especially among the poor, sick, and elderly.
As part of the vocation ministry, the Sisters motivated young girls and youth to reflect on their vocation and purpose in life. Personal interactions, vocation guidance, prayer moments, and sharing of the congregation’s charism inspired many young people to understand the beauty of religious life and service to God and humanity. The Sisters also distributed vocation pamphlets and encouraged interested candidates to nurture their spiritual growth.
This ministry provided an enriching experience both for the people and the Sisters. It strengthened parish collaboration, promoted faith values, and created greater awareness about religious vocation. The ministry helped in building stronger relationships with families and inspired youth to lead meaningful and value-based lives.
Overall, the pastoral and vocation ministry during the Dasara holidays was fruitful, spiritually enriching, and a powerful witness of service, compassion, and evangelization.
