The inauguration of the new school at Holy Cross Convent, Alirajpet, was solemnly and joyfully celebrated on 23rd April 2026. The auspicious occasion began at 9:30 AM with a prayerful inauguration ceremony attended by clergy, religious sisters, parishioners, students, parents, and local dignitaries.
A special moment of the gathering was the warm and respectful welcome accorded to the Archbishop by seventeen pioneering students of the school, who greeted him with flowers. Their parents were also present, sharing in the joy and pride of this historic occasion.
The Holy Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by His Eminence Poola Anthony, the Cardinal Archbishop of Hyderabad, whose gracious presence and blessings added spiritual significance to the event. Nearly thirty priests concelebrated the Holy Mass, making the celebration spiritually enriching and memorable for all who participated.
The formal inauguration and unveiling of the new school building were carried out by Rev. Sr. Helen Daisy, the Provincial, together with her team. Their dedicated efforts and visionary leadership marked a new milestone in the educational mission of the congregation.
The celebration was graced by the presence of many Provincial sisters and neighbouring convent sisters, whose participation reflected the spirit of unity and fraternity. Parishioners from the locality enthusiastically took part in the celebration, while several village sarpanches from the surrounding areas honoured the occasion with their esteemed presence, highlighting the strong bond between the institution and the local community.
Followed by the Holy Mass, a short felicitation program was organized to honour the dignitaries and acknowledge the significance of the day. Words of gratitude and appreciation were expressed to all those who contributed to the successful completion of the school and the meaningful organization of the event.
